January 16, 2008: I have added a review of my new book The Fuck Generation by Laurel Johnson of the Midwest Book Review. My new book came out in September, 2007 and you can buy it through my website.

April 1, 2007: I have gotten my site more organized. You can now find my stories, essays and articles in my stories section. I also added four paintings by Abby McDermitt to my art gallery. Also check out my family pictures.

October 14, 2006: I have great news. I have a part in a movie called American Surfrider (2006), written and directed by Carey Borth. It is a documentary about the Annual Labor Day surfing competition in Malibu in 2004 and I'm reading my poem The Healing Wind in the background. This is my big break into Hollywood. :) Here's the plot summary for the movie, written by Carey Borth:

A bunch of filmmakers flew to California to document the Annual Labor Day Surfing competition in 2004 where they interviewed over 60 surfers from around the world. Meanwhile, a team interviewed surfers at Sheboygan, Wisconsin, for their annual Great Lakes surfing event. Who had higher waves? You'll be surprised.

August 13, 2006: I added Poetry by Friends section, which includes poetry by my friends at AuthorsDen and MySpace. Check it out.

April 16, 2006: I added four paintings by Jacob Pongratz to my art gallery. Be sure to check them out as well. Jake is my friend from New Haven and also has a page at MySpace.com.

February 19, 2006: I added an article What Is Spiritual Materialism? to my poetry section.

February 13, 2006: I added my letter to Elizabeth to my poetry section. I called it What Is God? Spirituality Without Religion.

January 3, 2006: Happy New Year! I added a new feature to my poetry section. You can now read a poem at random.

December 22, 2005: I added a song Står i regnet ("Standing in the Rain") by Karoline Wendelborg from Norway to one of my poems. I included the lyrics in Norwegian and in English translation. Read my poem I Used to be Naive in Ways of Love. I also added my tribute poem to Victor Jara along with his song Manifiesto. Read my poem For Victor Jara.

December 5, 2005: I have fixed my art gallery by making a thumbnail of each painting.

December 4, 2005: I decided to make my website more organized and easy to navigate. I completed the translations section, adding the images of each poet. I will be adding more poems to the poetry section. You can now read my poetry in alphabetical or chronological order. You can also find all my books and buying information by going to the books section.

Do you know someone or love someone with borderline personality disorder (BPD)? You're not crazy. Loving someone with BPD can be a living hell. "The person with a borderline personality is impulsive in areas that have a potential for self-destruction. Relationships with others are intense and unstable. The person will go through frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment by others, and express mood instability and inappropriate anger. There may also be identity uncertainty concerning self-image, long-term goals or career choice, sexual orientation, choice of friends, and values." BPD is a real psychiatric disorder that can be successfully treated with drugs and therapy. I've posted an article with information on what it is and how to identify it. Read more here.
